Meet the Metropolitan Police's Olympic Champions (well bronze medallists) in the 1908 Olympic Games. These stouthearted gentlemen are members of the Great Britain tug of war team that came third in the Olympics 97 years ago. They are former members of the 'K District' tug of war team, here posing for a photograph in a contemporary health and fitness magazine called 'Health & Strength'. |
